As part of the Flagstaff Unified School District, we are committed to academic excellence, cultural inclusivity, and student empowerment. Established in September 1967, Coconino High School has grown to become a cornerstone of educational innovation and community pride in Coconino County. Originally serving grades 10–12, CHS expanded in 1989 to include freshmen and underwent multiple renovations to enhance student learning spaces. Named after the county it proudly represents, CHS embodies Panther Pride—a legacy of resilience, tradition, and unity. From its early connection to the Kinlani Dormitory to its modern-day achievements in STEM, arts, and athletics, Coconino High continues to evolve as a place where excellence meets purpose.
At Coconino High School, our values fuel the Panther Pride that echoes across our classrooms, clubs, and community. We are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment where every student is equipped to thrive, lead, and grow with purpose. These core beliefs guide everything we do:
